How is that I can enjoy both modern pop and carnatic classical with equal joy ? come to think of it i enjoy ghazals and quawals and other hindustani music too. I guess its just music.

How long will Email last as the preferred medium of communication ?
the new generation of userrs and the older generation of authors and consultants who have become rich and famous would like us to believe that the younger "net" generation would rather "instant Message" or chat or twitter or scrap rather than email.
Dont know how much of this is true ?

Technology and tech gurus

How many technology experts of today use and experience the technology that they create and are very good at. Today I met a IT expert who had never purchased anything online. It's amazing ! It would be interesting if someone does a survey to find out IT adaption by IT professionals !

Gravity depletion !

I have been reading so much about global warming and the ozone layer depletion etc and what it is doing to our environment. Suddenly a thought came to me as to what would happen if Gravity depletion happened. Isn't it a wierd and scary thought, depending on how much it depleted, it would be fun or outright disaster. if it just deplted a wee bit, we would all weigh a little less and feel light weighted and consequently probably light hearted :-). If it depleted a little more we can all jump around to great heights and fences would become useless. If it depleted a little little more then we could all fly say at 5 or 10 ft, our cars could also fly and we would not be caught in traffic jams anymore and we would not need roads either. let me post this more about it in the next post.

It has been so long since i posted to this blog. Mumbai is in the grip of a severe cold wave. It's below 10 C and this is rather unusual. while the world talks about global warming our city is becoming colder.
more later - it's going to be 11 pm, the battery in my laptop is blinking and i gotta go sleep.

Summer is here

this will sound like a strange title if you know from where i write this. From a region where it is generally warm most of the year and gets only hotter during the summer. All the same, nature does change here too when summer comes.
The yellow "Son Mohar" trees are in full bloom and they shower my car with flowers each day. As I leave office late evening it is great to see my pale green car decked in bright yellow flowers.

My first Blog

It seems strange that for someone who is an IT professional and some one who has been and will continue to be fascinated by the web and what it enables, I am posting my blog only now, long after it has become so popular and widely used.

I am yet to see how it looks and how it is going to affect my life. I love writing ; i love the process of expressing myself in word earlier on paper with a pen and now on the screen, through the keyboard.
I will conclude now for today, the 18th of March 2006 so that i can post this and see how it looks
